Football Career of Benjamin Šeško:
Early Career:
Benjamin Šeško embarked on his football journey in his hometown club, Radeče, while he was still in first grade.
Following a year spent with Rudar Trbovlje in the under-11 selection, he made his return to Radeče.
It was his undeniable talent that subsequently led him to transfer to Krško in 2016. There, he notably played for both the under-15s and under-17s teams.
His performance was extraordinary, scoring 59 goals in 23 matches for the under-15s in the 2017–18 season alone. In 2018, Šeško took another significant step in his early career by joining Domžale.
Professional Career of Šeško:
At the young age of 16, Šeško signed a three-year professional contract with Red Bull Salzburg on June 3, 2019.
He was initially loaned to Salzburg’s reserve team, FC Liefering, for two seasons. There, he demonstrated his skills by scoring 22 goals in 44 games in the second tier of Austrian football.
His impressive performance earned him a spot in Red Bull Salzburg’s first team in January 2021. During his tenure with the first team, he won three Austrian Bundesliga titles and one Austrian Cup.
Later, on August 9, 2022, RB Leipzig announced that Šeško would join them on July 1, 2023. He signed a five-year contract until 2028, for a reported transfer fee of around €24 million.
On September 3, 2023, Šeško scored his first goals for RB Leipzig, marking the start of an exciting journey with the team.
In addition to Šeško’s club career, he has also represented Slovenia in Under-15s, Under-16, Under-17s, and Under-19s levels.
Then, in 2021, he made his senior debut for Slovenia at the tender age of only 18. Remarkably, he scored his first goal for the senior team during the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification
