Richa Ghosh’s Cricket Career:
Her splendid performances at the junior level led her into the senior Bengal team in 2012-13. Richa made her debut for the Bengal under-19s when she was 11 years old. And, later, at 12, she played for the Bengal under-23s team.
Later, in February 2020, Ghosh earned her place in the Indian side for the 2020 ICC women’s Cricket World Cup.
The same month, Ghosh made her international debut under the captainship of Harmanpreet Kaur. She played her debut match against Australia in theĀ Australia Tri-Nation Women’s T20I Series, where she scored 17 runs off 23 balls.
On February 24, 2020, she played her first world cup match against Bangladesh, in which she scored 14 runs off 14 balls. In the T20I world cup 2020 final, she replaced Taniya Bhatia and played as the first concussion substitute in a T20I match.
After that, on September 21, 2021, she made her ODI debut agianst Australia. She scored not-out 32 runs in 29 balls in the match.
Later, in 2023, RCB bought Richa for 1.9 crore at the auction for Women’s Premier League (WPL).
